The Cycle of the Suitcase

For "The Cycle of the Suitcase," a deeply personal capstone collection by Venezuelan fashion designer Maria Valentina De Ponte, I designed a brand identity that explores the emotional weight of migration and the fragments carried when starting over. The collection treats garments as "wearable luggage," blending Portuguese Madeiran embroidery with Venezuelan weaving to map a journey of loss and rebirth. To honor Valentina’s focus on craftsmanship and authentic storytelling, my visual solution balances her brand’s clean, modern aesthetic with raw, tactile elements and nostalgic travel graphics. The resulting identity elevates the narrative for an audience of haute couture designers, seamlessly mirroring the beauty of rebuilding oneself.
